                                        Lahore fort, known as Shahi Qila, is one of the most historic landmarks, always rich in history and cultural significance. Locate in the heart of Lahore near Badshahi Masjid.

Early history:                                                                        

                    The first record of a fort at the site dates back to the 11th century, when it was built from mud during the rule of Mahmud of Ghazni. The fort was destroyed by the Mongols in 1241. 

Rebuilding: 

                         The fort was rebuilt in 1267 by Sultan Balban of the Mamluk dynasty. It was destroyed again in 1398 by Timur's invading forces, and rebuilt in 1421 by Mubarak Shah Sayyid.

                           The entrance fee of Lahore Fort in Pakistan is PKR 30 for Pakistani citizens and
